Compatibility and Installation
1.DSM 5.0 will be the last DSM upgrade for all 10-series Synology NAS due to hardware capabilities.
2.All packages must be updated to be compatible with DSM 5.0.
3.The following packages are not available nor compatible with DSM 5.0: Zarafa, DVBLink, and Polkast.
4.DSM 5.0 can only be installed on Synology products running DSM 4.3 or later. Before starting, please log into DSM and go to DSM Update to install the latest DSM.
5.The permissions of “web” shared folder will be changed after it is converted to Windows ACL permissions. Please refer to the Web Station section for details.
6.Some features have certain hardware requirements and are only available on select Synology NAS products.

Compatibility and Installation
1.DSM 4.3 can only be installed on Synology products running DSM 4.0 or later. Before starting, please log into DSM and go to Control Panel > DSM Update to install the latest available update.
2.The following packages must be updated to be compatible with DSM 4.3: Photo Station, Audio Station, Video Station, and Media Server, AntiVirus by McAfee, Antivirus Essential.
3.Some features have special hardware requirements and are only available on select models.
